The Kangaroo Bar & Coffee Shop proudly supports this appeal, in actual fact we are the ones that started this appeal to raise money for these unfortunate children, at the present moment there is a total of 69 children with disability's attending The Mashan Disabled Children's Orphanage & School, ranging from physical disabilities, hearing & sight disabilities, mental disabilities &  other various disabilities. This number of children fluctuates as the children grow older and leave the  security & protection of the school & orphanage, nearly all of these children will become homeless people living on the streets of some big city once leaving the orphanage due to the fact that they have no way that they can support themselves without having adequate education and training before being turned out into the world to fend for themselves, therefore we are asking you to kindly donate money to The Mashan Disabled Children's Orphanage & School Fund. The Mashan Disabled Children's Orphanage & School are in desperate  financial need to purchase educational books and other items for the education of the children.

These children are extremely talented, musical instruments and sporting equipment are  desperately in need as are water paints and other painting articles.

These children are quick to learn, such as Little Tommy who can speak a small amount of English having learnt from watching English cartoons on TV, therefore if these children learnt fluent English, the physical/ sight/ hearing impaired children  would have a golden opportunity to become English interpreters and translators in the new modern China once they leave the orphanage and school if they only had been taught to read and write English.

The accommodation for the children at the orphanage is in desperate need of upgrading URGENTLY,

The areas we aim to upgrade include:

• Kitchen and cooking facilities are unhygienic & obsolete
• The toilets & bathing facilities are totally unacceptable for the use by disabled children
• The sleeping accommodation for the children  is in desperate need of upgrading with beds, bedding, blankets, pillows, sheets etc.

The cost per child per month to feed, education and housing is 130 yuan or about  $16-25c United States Dollars, this only covers the barest of essentials, the main daily meal at midday consists of a small bowl of rice with a possibility of an even smaller portion of vegetable or meat soup.

The Mashan Disabled Children's Orphanage & School is also  in need of a VOLUNTEER to teach these wonderful Children English.
